Grubbs Grady
is your
typical
teenage
boy. He
loves
garbage
dumps where
he finds the
most
awesomely
disgusting
things and
dislikes his
older sister
who
constantly
gets him
into
trouble. He
likes to
write and
play
practical
jokes. All
in all
Grubbs had a
pretty
decent
life. Sadly,
that life is
shattered
when he
witnesses
his parents’
and sister’s
murders at
the hands of
demons. Now
Grubbs must
convince his
doctors that
he is not
crazy and
fight the
demons that
he believes
are real.
Darren Shan,
author of
the very
popular
Cirque
du
Freak
series, has
created a
new
wonderfully
horrible
series that
teenage boys
will truly
appreciate.
Not only is
the story
filled with
demons and
magic, it
also deals
with the
loss of
loved ones,
creating a
new family,
and making
new friends.
The story
moves
quickly,
taking the
reader on a
rollercoaster
ride of
twists and
turns and
leaving them
breathless
at the end.
Fans of
horror
novels will
indulge in
this
frightening
new series
and
reluctant
readers may
find that
they are not
so
“reluctant”
after all.
