• All geared up for tour!

    29 September 2010

The last few days have been hectic! On Monday I went into the HarperCollins offices and signed 1,100 copies of Birth Of A Killer -- they'll be sent to various independent stores through the UK (and maybe Ireland too), so keep your eyes peeled for a signed copy in your local indo!! I flew home that evening, and ever since then I've been dealing with house issues. Our extension is at the stage where we have to make loads of decisions, and unfortunately it couldn't have come at a worse time! I've had virtually no rest at all Tuesday and Wednesday, dealing with all sorts of things that couldn't wait. One of the big ones was pacing out the route for a path in the field out back of our house -- doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you're talking about 14 acres, and having as winding and interesting a path as possible, it becomes far more complicated and time-consuming than you might imagine!!!

Anyway, all that's behind me now. We managed to squeeze in everything that needed squeezing, and I was even able to force out the October issue of the Shanville Monthly today, packed full of all the latest news, including tour updates for my Ireland and UK October tour, as well as my November American tour (I still haven't been sent a full schedule, but I've shared what has been confirmed so far), and info about an incredibly cool competition that my UK publishers, HarperCollins, are running, but which is open to fans everywhere -- there are several prizes on offer, including a chance to have a special, intimate meeting with me on one of my tours next year!! Right -- I'm off to watch a bit of TV and chill, then I'm hitting the sack and rising bright and early to commence the latest leg of my never-ending tour of the British Isles!!! If you can make it to any of my events, do come along and bring plenty of books to get signed, I'd love to see you!!!!!
