• Alloa Academy coursework

    28 March 2022

The students of class 1B2 in Alloa Academy (in Scotland) were busy recently studying Cirque Du Freak, and they produced some coursework based on it which their proud teacher shared. They were tasked with producing their own flyers to advertise an upcoming perfromance of the Cirque Du Freak (Mr Tall loves Alloa and has taken the show there many times over the centuries!), and I think they did a wonderful job. Full marks from me!!

Speaking of schools... I have a nicely busy few days ahead of me on the virtual touring front this week, with talks lined up with different schools over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm really enjoying being able to do events via Zoom and the like, as it allows me to slot them into my normal working day at home, allowing me to reach far more areas than I ever did before. I had a quiet few weeks after World Book Day, but now requests are starting to come in again, and I'm able to say yes to most of them.

If YOU are a teacher or librarian, anywhere in the world (geography isn't a barrier where online events are concerned), and are interested in contacting me to enquire about the possibility of arranging your own online event, please feel free to reach out and drop me a line using this email address: [email protected]

The events normally last about 35 to 40 minutes, and I don't charge for them.
