• Amity Lee Inktober Part 2

    03 December 2020

In October a fan called Amity Lee decided to do INKTOBER, where artists set themselves a challenge of producing a certain amount of work over the course of the month, inspired by a set of "prompt" words. Amity Lee drew a piece EVERY SINGLE DAY of the month, based on my Saga Of Larten Crepsley series. I posted the first three drawings last week. Here are the next four.

The first features a Cirque Du Freak performer of long-ago, Merletta, a magician and escape artist, who taught a young Larten how to pick locks. (Who knows -- maybe she taught a boy called Archibald Lox as well, a couple of hundred years later...)

The second drawing features Wester Flack, who would become Larten's blood brother and closest confidante for many decades to follow.

In the third, Larten faces off against a young and still sane Murlough, in the years before the vampaneze's madness took hold of him and sent him into a blood frenzy.

And in the fourth drawing, Larten observes his father in a quiet, reflective moment, and realises he can never truly return home...
