• Amity Lee Inktober Part 7

    06 February 2021

We're drawing near the end of our journey with Amity Lee and her artistic recapping of the four Saga Of Larten Crepsley books. Back in October she committed herself to INKTOBER, where artists produce a certain amount of work over the course of the month, inspired by a set of "prompt" words. Amity Lee drew a piece EVERY SINGLE DAY of the month, based on my Saga Of Larten Crepsley series, telling the story of the four books in pictures. I've already posted twenty-three drawings. Here are the next four, with the final four to come in the very near future.

The first of the current crop of drawings hails from a sobering section of Book 4, Brothers To The Death, when Larten and Arra join Kurda in Japan after the atomic bombings, to help the stunned survivors as best they can.

The second drawing is a cheery group shot, of various characters from the series.

In the third drawing, Larten dreams of his childhood friend, Vur Horston, whose name he adopted at certain stages of his life, in memory of his fallen blood-brother.

And the fourth captures Larten with his other blood-brother, Wester Flack, as the sun sets on a turbulent period of their lives. It's always darkest before the dawn...
