• Amity Lee quartet

    15 August 2020

I've featured a lot of art by a fan called Amity Lee over the last year or so. It's not favouritism by any means -- she's just very very good, and very very prolific! Here are four very different drawings that she's sent to me in recent months (hmm... does last Christmas count as "recent"?!?), illustrating the breadth of her illustrative skills.

First up is a gorgeous rendering of Koyasan from my short novel called... Koyasan. All of Amity Lee's work has caught my eye, but this one is especially eye-popping!

Next up we have Evra (in female form -- Amity Lee likes to play around with the genders of my characters) which she drew for Secret Santa late last year.

Then we have Steve and Mika in Playboy bunny outfits. Why? Why not?!? (Those with good memories might recall a 4 panel cartoon that I shared a while back, featuring Mr Crepsley and Arra, which referenced this drawing. I meant to post this around the same time, but it slipped through the temporal cracks.)

Finally we have a wistful-looking Arra Sails, in a cavern in Vampire Mountain. I wonder if she's thinking about a certain orange-haired vampire...

I'm running a sale of my Archibald Lox ebooks this week. Book 1 is always FREE, but I've lowered the prices of Books 2 and 3 to just $0.99 each, or their local equivalent in other countries around the world. To find out more, click here: https://www.darrenshan.com/news/shanville-monthly/
