And the Pun of the Year winner is…
28 June 2020If you thought I was joking last Sunday when I said there would be more Shan photos this week from the same walk that the last lot of photos were taken on... then you judged me wrong!! :-)
But at least, in my defense, we've moved on from the boreen (old Irish road) that featured not just in last week's set of snaps, but the two weeks previous to that. In these we've ventured to the end of that old boreen and down to the banks of the River Shannon, where Dante in particular seems pleased to have a wider canvas to hop, skip and jump through.
The photo of Dante standing on the rocks, cloudy sky behind him, is probably the most artistically framed snap that Mrs Shan is ever likely to take -- if you work in a gallery and want to make prints to sell, drop me a line! :-)
But my personal favourite (for reasons that are about to become punningly clear) from the four on display this week is the photo of him looking soulfully at the dead crab -- it reminds me of that famous line in Hamlet -- "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Crustaceo..."
You might as well just give the Terrible Pun Of The Year Award to me right here, right now!!!! :-) :-)
