• Blinding you with science!

    21 January 2011

I received an email from KayLi in Malaysia today which made me smile:

I wanted to thank you for your books because not only do they have inspiring events and everything that make you think, the Demonata series actually helped me a bit in my science. We're learning about the heart, and it was easy to remember what veins and arteries were thanks to your Demonata book. I think of Artery when they mention that arteries carry blood away from the heart, so i picture Artery biting someone and that someone bleeding. Haha. With veins its easier. Vein is part dog, and dogs like to play fetch, so remembering that veins carry blood to the heart from outlying areas is easy too. So thank you very much!

I've got to admit, I could never remember how arteries and veins differ, but now thanks to KayLi's ingenious use of my characters, I think I have it sussed!!! If anybody else finds anything educational in my books, or figures out a way to use them like KayLi has done, do please let me know, so that I can share it with other struggling students across the globe!!!
