A fan of my books over on SoundCloud, with the user name of Moon Studio, decided to compare the first three books of my Saga of Darren Shan (Cirque Du Freak) series with the movie adaptation. It's a 17 minute autopsy, summarising the books and the movie, and showing how they contrasted. There are LOTS of spoilers, so I certainly wouldn't recommend listening if you haven't read all three of the books. But if you're familiar with them, as I imagine most of you are, and want to shake your head in wonder again at just how far the movie deviated from the novels (hey, as I've always said, I like the movie on its own terms, but there's no denying it's extremely unfaithful to the books), then click on this link:

The manga adaptation of the books was much more faithful, sticking closely to the storyline while finding a new way to visually present itself. I've always unreservedly recommended the manag to fans of my books. The English language editions have been out of print for years, but Yen Press started reprinting them in an oversized omnibus edition last month, collecting two books per volume.
