• Busy bookshelves

    30 November 2022

It's the end of the month, so let's treat ourselves to some photos taken by proud Shansters of their bookshelves! These always go down well with my followers -- I think us bookworms are all a bit nosey when it comes to seeing how other readers display their books!!!

First up we have BETH's shelves. A very solid-looking structure, jam-packed with books -- just the way I like it!! I know some people will object to the books not being stood upright, but I stack some of my collection this way too, so I certainly won't be casting any criticism Beth's way!!!

Next we drop in to see how AMY stacks her books. A nice, bijou set of shelves, beautifully lit and very aesthetically pleasing -- although I must admit I'm of the mindset that says "To hell with aesthetics -- look at all that extra space you could fill with more books!!! :-) :-) :-)

Our next visit is to a Tweeter whose user name is RAPYOURBEEE. I'm intrigued by the plastic bags! I totally get wanting to preserve your collection immaculately, but one of the things I love about physical books is their smell, and how that changes with time. No bags for me, thanks all the same! I prefer the stench of rotting paper!!!!

Finally it's JOSH's turn to thrill us with his shelves. If I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be this collection. Not because of the quality of the units. Not because of the way the books are displayed. Simply because Josh has so damn MANY of my books!!!! :-) :-) :-)
