So sad to hear of the loss of Robbie Coltrane. I was a fan of his in the 1980s, from movies such as "Mona Lisa" and "The Fruit Machine." Like pretty much everyone else in the UK and Ireland in the 90s, I loved him in the TV series "Cracker," and was delighted that he got to shine so brightly as its star. Then, of course, came the "Harry Potter" movies, and the whole world got to experience and enjoy his talents.

I got to meet him at a launch party for the DVD of the second "Harry Potter" film about twenty years ago, and even though I didn't get to chat with him much, it was a thrill to meet him in a flesh -- I think it's pretty clear, from the photo, just how starstruck I was!!!

Even in death may he be triumphant!!
