• Camping in Chessington

    30 October 2022

I'm having a very busy Halloween weekend! I attended a showing of the Cirque Du Freak movie in Limerick city last night. Tonight I'm going to be trying to terrify children at my son Dante's school Halloween party -- along with Mrs Shan, I'm working the Scare Zone!! And tomorrow I'll be dishing out treats to Trick Or Treaters, and hopefully managing to also nip along to a neighbourhood Halloween party. I'm going to be exhausted come Tuesday!!!!

But I was a busy little Shanster in the summer too. Back in early July, when Dante's school broke up for the holidays, we headed to London, to stay with their Bapcia (Mrs Shan's mother) and make the most of the big city and all it has to offer. We visited Chessington World of Adventures Resort on a couple of the days, and stayed there overnight in one of the tents that they erect in the summer period. The kids had an absolute ball, and wanted to stay there more than one night! I highly recommend it, and it allows you to get much more out of the park than you normally do on a single day trip.

Here are some photos from our visit. In the first, we test the sleeping quarters that the staff very thoughtfully set aside for vacationing vampires! Gaia is dancing along to a Cocomelon show in the second. Dante approves of the campsite's ethos in the third. And the Shans relax on one of the beds in our tent in the final snap.
