• Chessington photos

    20 November 2022

At the start of the summer holidays, the Shans decamped to London for a couple of weeks, and on a couple of days we visited Chessington World Of Adventures, and stayed in a campsite on the premises overnight. The kids loved it -- one of their favourite things from the holiday -- and I booked it at a really good price well ahead of time, so I was happy too!!

That's me, Dante and Gaia outside the tent in the first pic, and you can see Dante relaxing in his bed in the second -- it was nice and spacious in there, and though it got a bit chilly late in the night, it wasn't TOO cold by any stretch.

I took a reluctant Gaia on a TINY log flume ride on one of our days in the theme park, and as you can see from the third photo, she wasn't too happy about it!! So far neither of my kids has shown the great love of roller coasters that myself and Mrs Shan share...

Chessington is also home to a small zoo (I'm old enough to remember when it was JUST a zoo), and the final photo finds Dante and Gaia seeing how they shape up in comparison to the size of an average gorilla -- some way still to go!!!
