Having no talent whatsoever when it comes to the world of drawing, it makes me smile ruefully whenever a hopeful fan asks me to draw one of my characters for them -- I always have to say no and explain that I can't even draw a decent stick man!

One fan of my books who has no problems is that front is Clara, who drew the lovely picture below, of Mr Crepsley and Darren as they set off together on their life as a team at the Cirque Du Freak. Clara also sent me a speedpaint video, showing how the drawing came together, which provides a fun, fascinating insight into the world of a budding artist:

Maybe I should put together one of these to show me writing -- but I fear it would be a lot less colourful and interesting than Clara's -- after all, it'd just be a video of a man, sitting in his office, typing on a keyboard. Andy Warhol would no doubt have loved such a film, but I doubt anyone else would be bothered! :-)
