Over the Easter break the Shan clan headed for the Clonakilty Park Hotel, where we spent a lovely few days. They have a cinema on site, which was a big bonus in my books, though my son Dante doesn't seem too excited about it in the first photo!!

The hotel's mascot was a pirate dog, and my daughter Gaia thought it was the coollest thing ever!! He puts in an appearance every afternoon at a set time. On our last full day there, we were told the wrong time, and when we turned up to see him, he'd been and gone. When the hotel staff saw how upset Gaia was, they quickly dispatched a couple of members of the team to go round him up again, for a one-on-one meeting!

We also went to Dublin for a night during the school break. I took the kids onto the famous Ha'penny Bridge. Gaia wasn't too excited by it -- she far preferred the Disney shop that we stumbled across, as you can tell from photos 3 and 4!
