• Coronation Street Shan

    11 December 2019

I used to be a big Coronation Street fan. (That's the world's longest running TV soap opera, for those who might not know.) I watched it religiously for many years, until I went on holiday to South America for three weeks around the turn of the millennium. That was too long to record the episodes that I was missing, and when I returned I just never got round to watching it again.

I still think of it fondly every now and then, which meant I was tickled pink when this screenshot was forwarded my way. It was sent by a sharp-eyed fan of my books called Jodie. I first I wasn't sure why she had sent it to me. I recognised the character of Roy Cropper, who was one of my faves back in the day, but I had no idea who the other guy was. Then Jodie drew my attention to a book on the bedside cabinet, next to the clock, and all became clear.

Dot Cotton on Eastenders was spotted reading one of my books a long time ago, so it's nice to see that I'm as appreciated in Salford as I am in Albert Square. :-) :-) :-)

My latest Darren Dash novel, for grown-ups like Roy and the other guy here, is Molls Like It Hot, which is now on sale in Amazon stores worldwide, as either a low cost eBook or a pretty reasonably priced paperback. You can find out more over on the Darren Dash web site: http://www.darrendashbooks.com

Hmm... I wonder if we can expect to see it popping up in Neighbours or Home And Away any time in the near future?!? :-)
