• Evra drawings

    12 February 2022

22 years after he was first unleashed on an unsuspecting world in Cirque Du Freak, the snakeboy Evra Von continues to be an extremely popular character among budding artists. Here are four of the most recent fan drawings of him.

The first, in which Evra is wrapped within the coils of his living snake, is by Kira. The second, featuring a jacketed, scarved Evra is by Em. The third, signed Liv, is by... um... Liv!!! And the fourth, in which we show both a head shot and full body portraits is by Siti.

I've been doing quite a few online school events recently, and I often get asked if any of my characters are based on real people. The answer, for the most part, is that no they're not (although I do often use the names of people that I know), BUT I do occasionally incorporate elements of real people -- and Evra is one such case. You know the way I describe him as having a really long tongue, which he can stick up his nose and lick the inside of his nostrils with?!? Well, I have a younger cousin who can actually do that, and that's where that "snotty skill" of Evra's came from!!!!! :-) :-) :-)
