• Expect the unexpected!

    05 November 2022

I feature fan art here most Saturdays, and I normally try to find a unifying theme, in order to present the four pieces (and it's usually four pieces) as a nicely curated collection. More often than not that means featuring drawings of the same character, or from the same book, but today I've gone for a slightly more tenebrous grouping, and put together four works, by four different artists, whose connection is... unexpected behaviour!!

We all think we know what to expect when a fan draws Mr Crepsley, or Lord Loss, or Mika Ver Leth, or Vancha, right? We have a deep understanding of these characters, formed when we read the books. We know how they behave, and think, and act. At least... we like to think we do!!! But these four artists have thought outside the box, and so we have...

Mika The Chef (aka Mika Ver Leth) photoshopped into a kitchen by VERONICA...

Vancha March pottering around in the garden, drawn by NOEL...

and Lord Loss chilling after a busy day tormenting poor, innocent souls, and enjoying a Starbucks, served up by STEPH.

I don't know about you guys, but after this little collection, I don't think I'll ever look at these characters in quite the same way again!!!!
