I posted some photos recently of the Shan ladies visiting the Terra Nova fairy garden in Limerick. They loved it so much that it inspired them to create their own little fairy garden (well... fairy boardwalk!) in our backyard, and here are a few photos.

In the first pic, Gaia and Bapcia (her granny) are hard at work on painting the platform where the fairies will be hanging out from the point of completion onwards. It's messy work, but hey, the fairies are worth it!! The second pic captures the garden (boardwalk!) in all its finished majesty, while the third captures an egrossed Gaia at play with her army of new friends.

Finally, since we're in a fairy frame of mind, I've added in a snap taken from our holiday last month on Fota Island in Cork. There was a lengthy fairy trail in the grounds of the hotel complex where we were staying, and we went exploring one wet evening.
