A fan called Febe focused on my vampire books for INKtober a few months back, and drew ten pictures over the course of the month, mostly based on my Saga Of Larten Crepsley series. I shared the first seven a while back. Here are the final three.

The first sees Larten at large with some of his fellow Vampire Cubs. This was something I thought long and hard about when I was telling Mr Crepsley's back-story -- what might vampires be like when they're young and headstrong and still finding their feet as creatures of the night? Those thoughts led to me write a dark, creepy scene in the second book of the series, Ocean of Blood, which is one of the first memories than spring to my mind whenever I reminisce about the books.

Wolves and vampires share a close bond in my series, and the second picture sees Larten running with a couple of four-legged allies.

Finally, although the vampires in my books can be killed by ordinary weapons and accidents, stakes always send a shiver down their spine, especially since the Dracula book and all the movies which followed put dangerous ideas in dumb humans' heads... :-)
