• Final time travelling edit

    27 July 2023

I finished my FINAL edit of my next Darren Dash book today, the time-travelling sci-fi novel which I've spoken about occasionally in recent months. My editor ZOE corrected the few typos that she found (not TOO many, I was pleased to note, but still enough that they would have made me look incompetent if they'd hadn't been snagged!), and also made many suggestions for little ways to improve it in certain areas. I think it's much stronger now that I've addressed some issues which were bugging Zoe, and hopefully that will make it a "bug free" zone for the rest of you!!

While I say it's my FINAL edit, it's not really "final" final. I still have to get the book ready for publication, and format it for its ebook and paperback versions -- the latter of which will be quite time-consuming, and it's possible that I'll make a few tiny tweaks while doing that, if something small catches my eye. But this was the last FULL edit, so the vast majority of the work is now done and dusted. I should be sending it out to my reviewers soon, so if you're on my reviewer's list, be ready for an incoming email!!! :-)

The attached image, by the way, is just something that I found online. It doesn't have anything directly to do with the book itself (i.e. it's not going to be the cover), but it does provide a little hint of what you have to look forward to, and I'm not talking just about the mention of time travel...
