• Finished signing!

    20 January 2024

My fundraising campaign for The Terrified Troll (my first ever picture book) finished last week. The artist, Eva Byrne, and I far exceeded our financial goal, which is going to make it a lot easier for Eva to devote time to the project, so hopefully we're going to get it to publication stage before the end of the year -- though there's a LOT of work still to be done on it, so I may well be back here in the summer or autumn time begging for a bit more patience from those who pre-ordered a copy of the book!!! :-)

Those who definitely won't have to wait too long are those who bought one of the fundraising perks, such as the handwritten poem, the limited edition art prints, the drafts portfolio, or a meeting with me. We've now posted out all of the prints, poems and portfolios -- the picture was taken last Thursday, when we signed the last of the orders. I've also met or chatted with most of the fans who signed up for those perks, with more to come near the end of this month, and one or two scheduled at the fans's requests a bit later in the year -- although I can't start doing the Bec tours until Craggaunowen Park reopens in the spring!!

Although the campaign is over, some of the perks are still up for grabs if any of you wish to get in touch with me by email over the coming months. The poems and portfolios are SOLD OUT, but prints still remain, and it's still possible to arrange Zoom chats, in-the-flesh-meetings, or one of the two book tours that I am offering. You can find more info and prices on the following page: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-bring-our-troll-to-life/x/35435619#/

If you wish to make an enquiry about any of the perks, you can drop me a line at [email protected] -- but please note, the prices will be the same as they are on the fundraising page. I can't offer any discounts, as it wouldn't be fair to those who have paid full price.

Oh, you also still have time to ask about pre-ordering a copy of the book!!!
