• First fan art of 2022

    08 January 2022

I'm sharing my first batch of fan art of 2022, so I thought I'd choose four pieces which highlight four of the main characters from my two most popular series -- Cirque Du Freak and The Demonata.

The first two pieces have a seasonal flavour. The first drawing is by a fan called Taya, who pictured a merry Christmas where Darren Shan, Evra and Harkat Mulds open presents next to a Christmas tree. The second, by Keroromo, sees Mr Crepsley and a rather friendly tiger wishing everyone a Happy New Year! This is dated 2020, but also references the Year of the Tiger, which IS 2022, so I'm not sure if this is an old drawing that Keroromo updated, or if the 2020 date was accidental -- it's the sort of accident I've made a few times myself in the past, so I certainly won't be pointing any fingers if that's the case!!!! :-)

Moving on to my Demonata series... the third drawing, by Maisie, sees Grubbs, Kernel and Bec -- the three narrators of the series -- locked in an epic battle with demonic forces. And the fourth, by Feil Haine, shines the spotlight on Lord Loss, that most dreaded of foes! Any drawing of Lord Loss sends a shiver down my spine, but there's something about this one which gives me even more of a shudder than usual -- I'm not sure exactly what it is -- I just know that it gives me the willies!!!!! :-)
