The 7th Archibald Lox book goes on sale at the end of this month, and the first review for it is in! I'm always a bit nervous ahead of reviews, as there's no telling how readers are going to react to a book until they've actually read it. Thankfully, this one, on The Word Cubby, was extremely positive -- hopefully a good omen!!!

While the reviewer notes (as, indeed, I noted myself a while back!) that this is the "tamest of the series so far," she also correctly notes that it's merely the "lull before the storm" -- as carefully paced and relatively tension-free as book 7 is, books 8 and 9 are going to be action-packed and filled with dark, cunning, mind-blowing twists!

The concluding line of the review put a BIG smile on my face -- "Cirque du Freak/The Saga of Darren Shan will always be my favorite Shan series, but Archibald Lox is certainly giving it a run for the title."
