Gannen Harst was a key cast member in my Saga Of Darren Shan / Cirque Du Freak series, even though I didn't introduce him until well into the second half of the storyline. He clearly made a big impression on readers, even though he didn't have a lot of page time, judging by the amount of fan art inspired by his character, as witnessed in the four pieces that I'm delighted to share with you this week.

The first, by JULIAN, and second, by LAVENDAR, are unusual in that both artists included some of their painting materials in the photos that they posted. I can't recall anyone else doing that, in all the years that I've been sharing fan art -- so what are the odds that the two people who did it both chose to draw Gannen Harst?!? One might say it was the workings of DesTiny...

The third, by NOEL, is a real eye-catcher, in which even the sky turns a disturbing shade of vampaneze-inspired purple!!

And the fourth, by ROROROU, leaves us in no doubt that Gannen Harst wasn't someone you lightly crossed swords with!!
