My daughter Gaia is very close to walking, but hasn't quite taken her first independent step yet -- any day now, I'm guess. But she's been crawling for several weeks or longer, and can really motor about the place -- we have to keep a close eye on her. Here are a couple of photos (taken by a professional) of her in crawling action a while ago, along with one taken of my son Dante when he was around the same age and just working up toward his first proper crawl. (He was a bit slow to crawl, but then started walking very shortly afterwards.) One thing's for sure -- while we might argue in years to come over who was the "best" crawler or walker, there's no debating who had the most impressive hair as a babe!!! :-)
