A couple of months ago I sent the students of Trinity Academy in Barnsley (UK) a signed set of my Saga Of Darren Shan / Cirque Du Freak books. Why?!? Well, let's just say it was their DesTiny... :-)

They sent me back these charming photos in return -- there's only one thing a writer loves more than seeing a happy customer -- and that's seeing a couple of dozen happy customers!!!! :-) :-) :-)

It's been a long time since I visited any schools in the flesh, but I've been doing an ever increasing number of online school events -- they're not EXACTLY the same as an actual school visit, and of course there's no opportunity for me to sign books for the pupils, but they're proving pretty popular regardless. I do a short reading during each event, chat a bit about myself, then answer lots of questions, and I've been getting great feedback from teachers and librarians saying how excited the kids have been afterwards, and how it's lead to them reading more books.
