• Happy Mothers’ Day 2022

    27 March 2022

Since it's Mother's Day (in Ireland anyway, though I know it gets celebrated on different dates in different countries) I figured I'd put Mrs Shan to the fore in today's family photos, especially as she's grumbled more than once in the past about me using loads of photos of myself and the kids in my Sunday posts, but not that many of her!!! :-)

The first was taken in Bunratty Folk Park last December, and it's a twofer, because Mrs Shan's mother (Bapcia, as the kids call her) is in it too! As is some terrifying little white-eyed sprite who snuck in between them from somewhere out of the bowels of a demon-ravaged hell-zone!!!!

The second was also taken in Bunratty, but more recently, just a couple of weeks ago, when we were celebrating St Patrick's Day. Thankfully the good St Patrick himself was on hand to banish the wicked sprites this time round!!

The third was taken in Center Parcs Ireland late last year, when all four Shans were having a howlingly happy time!!

And the final one was taken when Mrs Shan and Dante were brewing sloe gin last autumn, having picked the sloe berries themselves. I'm sure mothers everywhere will be indulging in a small glass of sloe gin (or similar) today, and well deserved it will be too! Cheers to you all -- where would this world be without you?!? :-)
