• Heywood Gardens

    16 August 2020

Some more photos from the Shan clan's recent staycation holiday. These were taken on the day we drove to Carlow, in a park in Laois, the day before the county was forced to go back into lockdown. The place is called Heywood Gardens, and it's definitely worth stopping to visit if you're ever in the area. A lovely big park, with some beautiful and lovingly maintained gardens, harking back to an old estate which used to stand on the grounds. The kids loved it, especially the pond with the water fountains -- there was a much ruder shot of Dante on the fountain (Mrs Shan is such a bad influence!) but I opted to go with the more socially acceptable photo... :-)
