A fan of my vampire books, called JO, decided to cosplay as Vancha March recently, and here are some photos to show how she got on.

I think Jo nailed it, but I hope she didn't go "full-on Vancha" when it came to dying her hair!!! For those who don't know what that means... In my Saga Of Larten Crepsley series, the secret behind Vancha's luxurious green locks was finally (and horrifyingly!) revealed. Basically, Vancha was quite phlegmy, and used to spit a lot and blow great wads of snot out of his nose. Since vampires tend not to carry handkerchiefs and tissues, he got into the habit of spitting or snorting into a hand and... wiping it through his hair!!!! Over the course of a few centuries, THIS was the result!!!

Be honest -- you'll never think of Vancha in quite the same way now, will you?!?
