• Kennedy’s Farm

    06 September 2020

A few weeks ago, the Shan clan decamped to Killarney on a day trip, and went to visit Kennedy's Pet Farm. I've been to Killarney many times over the years, but this was my first time visiting the Farm, which Mrs Shan had spotted online. We had a lovely time there, looking at and petting the animals -- Gaia is wild about wild life, so this was like all her birthdays come at once... er, eveven though she's only had one birthday so far! We took a picnic with us -- though there's a shop there as well -- and there's plenty of socially distanced space outside to eat in peace, though you might end up with the odd extra unexpected guest or two, as you can see in the third photo! For the sake of full transparency, I must admit that the cow in the first photo isn't real, just a statue, but all the other animals are on the level -- unless they're incredibly lifelike robots!!! The Farm is still open, although only at weekends now that we're into the autumn season -- you can visit their website and book tickets here: https://kennedyspetfarm.com/
