• Ladies’ day

    15 October 2022

I always like to feature strong, integral female characters in my books. Sometimes they're the heroes, sometimes they're the villains, sometimes they're the voice of reason, sometimes they're the screams of anarchy. Like my male characters, they run the full gamut, and here are four of the finest, drawn by very talented readers of my work.

First up we have Arra Sails, from my Cirque Du Freak series, drawn by EMILY. Arra has been drawn by many fans over the years, and I think their rendering is up there with the finest -- I love her stance, it tells you so much about her!

Next we have Bec, from my Demonata books, drawn by AMEIRO. Once again, many artists have tackled Bec in the past, and in my opinion this is up there with the best of them. I love the cool manga touches, blending ancient Ireland with modern Japan.

The final two ladies both feature in my Archibald Lox series. That's Inez in the third pic, drawn by EMI, wiping a bloody nose after a typically violent period of play in a grop match. What's that? You don't know what grop is?!? Then you need to go read the books!!! :-)

Finally we have Skeen, drawn by LIV. Skeen is a beautiful but dangerous member of the cast -- she can literally burn your heart to a crisp with a touch. I think this is the first time anyone has drawn Skeen -- it's wonderful to see her make her debut in so assured a fashion.
