I'm always nervous when I submit a book to Kirkus for review. They're great book-lovers, but they can be fairly savage when a story doesn't tick all their boxes, and I've had a few zingers from them over the years. On the flip side, that means that when a book DOES get a good review from them, you know it's genuine and hard-earned, and you appreciate it all the more.

My Darren Dash books for adults have fared pretty well with Kirkus, all having been Recommended by their reviewers, except for Sunburn, which the reader didn't enjoy. To my great relief, my latest release, Molls Like It Hot, hasn't let the Dash team down, and picked up a glowing review. The closing statement was that the book is "A thrilling tale loaded with bullets, bloodshed, and bodies that stars a daring veteran." To read the complete review, click on the following link:
