• Name that berry!

    13 March 2022

As I do on most Sundays, I've rounded up some Shan clan photos from the last several months.

The first was taken on our holiday to Cork last summer, and features my daughter Gaia and Mrs Shan.

The second was taken in Norwich last October, when we went to meet up with fellow author Alexander Gordon Smith and his family. There was a sign for a special show outside the building where we ate, and for obvious reasons we just HAD to take a photo of Gaia in front of it!!

The third and fourth feature my son Dante, when he went picking sloe berries with his Mum back in the autumn. We use them to create sloe gin, which was one of my granny's favourite tipples. She used to brew her own sloe gin, but when it got too much for her, we took over the cheerful task, and have kept it going, even though she made the short and lengthy trip to Vampire Paradise many years ago now.
