Mrs Shan and I managed to sneak out last night, having left the kids with my parents, and went to celebrate her birthday in Dolans Pub in Limerick, where we had a few drinks and caught a gig -- Rebel Rebel, a David Bowie tribute band. That's a photo of us before the music started, along with a pic of the lead singer (a stock photo, as we didn't think to take any snaps). All in all, Mrs Shan had a lovely birthday, the highlight of which, of course, was all the well wishes from you guys in reply to my post yesterday!!! :-)

Rebel Rebel, by the way, are a first-rate Bowie tribute act, and I highly recommend them for anyone who likes his songs, if they're ever playing in a venue near you. This is my second time catching them -- the first was on February 29th, 2020. I remember it vividly for three reasons -- firstly, because it was a really great night out, spent with friends and relatives; secondly, because it was a Leap Year, and it was odd to be going to a gig on a rare February 29; and thirdly, because COVID hit hard shortly thereafter and we went into our first lockdown, and it was a LONG time before I got to my next gig. https://www.rebelrebeltribute.com/
