• Seven Dials

    26 July 2021

In one of those twists of fate (DesTiny?!?) that writers rely on so much when piecing their stories together, a fan called Kat was wandering through London recently, saw this monument in Seven Dials, and took a snap to send to me.

    WHY?

Because Kat had read Archibald Lox and the Forgotten Crypt, which begins on this very spot, and in which this monument plays a vital part in kicking the story into life.

And the TWIST OF FATE that I referred to? Well, unbeknownst to Kat, I had written an article for a blogger called Luna's Little Library, in which I talked about some of the real-world settings that feature in the book, and why I chose to include the places that I did (you also find out how a statue of Yuri Gagarin almost made the cut) -- and her photo provided me with the perfect image to marry with the text when I came to write this blog post -- thanks, Kat!!! :-)
