It's another Tattoo Tuesday in Shanville, but this one is both an old familiar AND a Tattoo Tuesday first!!

This particular tattoo was shared with me by a fan of my books called Enke, who lives in Colombia. Like many tattooed Shansters, Enke turned to my most-quoted of quotes for the tattoo, and asked the tattooist to in the phrase:

Even in death may you be triumphant!

BUT Enke first translated the phrase into SPANISH, and as far as I can recall, this is the first time I've featured a Spanish-language tattoo in all the years that I've been sharing these kind of photos!! I *could* be mistaken, but I'm reasonably certain that this is a first for me.

Cirque Du Freak was translated into Spanish many years ago, but didn't fare very well. It was re-released, in an omnibus edition with books 2 and 3 when the movie was made, but again it failed to set the Spanish-speaking world alight, and although there released two more omnibus volumes, they never translated or released the last three books of the series. On the one hand that makes me feel sad, but on the other it means I appreciate it all the more when a reader like Enke finds my books and commits to them so enthusiastically, as I know how difficult they are to stumble across in South America.
