How cool is this "rogue's gallery" of characters from my Saga Of Darren Shan / Cirque Du Freak series?!? It was drawn by a fan called Shion, who has crammed in just about as many figures as is humanly (or vampishly) possible. How many of them can you identify without having to go back to the books to check?!? No cheating now -- and also, look VERY carefully or you might miss a few who are rather cunningly and subtly represented...

I also love the quote that Shion has chosen. It comes from the prologue of the first book, of course, and I often remind fans of it when they asked me why I killed off so many characters over the course of the series. I laid my stall out nice and early in Cirque Du Freak, warning readers within the first few pages of the pains that were to come. So, y'know, you can't say I didn't give you a fair heads up right at the start, before you got too invested in the story... :-)
