• The power of BookBub

    22 December 2021

As I've mentioned a few times recently, I ran a BookBub promotion last week for the first of my Archibald Lox eBooks. If you're unfamiliar with BookBub, it's the undisputed king of book promotions. I ran a lot of promos over the summer, around the release of books 4 to 6 of the series, and while some did very well, I sold more books off the back of the BookBub promotion than all the others COMBINED!

Archibald Lox and the Bridge Between Worlds rode high in the charts for a few days after the promotion -- at one point, as you can see in the attached screenshot, I saw that it was #2 on the overall Bestseller Kindle chart for free books in the UK (it might even have hit the #1 spot -- I didn't check very often!), which was amazing.

The eBook of Book 1 is always FREE to buy worldwide through all the main sellers of eBooks (Amazon, Apple, Barnes &Noble, Google Play, Kobo, etc), but I also heavily reduced the prices of books 2, 3 and 4 to tie in with the Book 1 promo. As I said in yesterday's post, I'd meant to return them to full price a couple of days after the sale, and that HAS happened on most sites -- BUT the promo is still drawing in new readers on the Amazon sites worldwide, and I don't want them to miss out on the special offers on the next three books, so I've left them reduced for another day or two -- so, if you haven't yet tried Archibald Lox, and are happy to read books on Kindle, this is a VERY good time to buy!!

The books are also available as paperbacks, or as collected omnibus editions (three books per Volume) in either hardback or paperback format. You can find direct buying links for those, plus the FREE first eBook, in the Christmas edition of my monthly newsletter: https://darrenshan.com/news/shanville-monthly

Right -- that's the last time I'm going to talk about the sale here -- promise!!! :-)
