• Two weeks to go

    08 August 2019

Just TWO WEEKS to go until my event at the Edinburgh Book Festival on Thursday 22nd August at 5.30pm! As I've said before, this will probably be my only public appearance of 2019, so miss me at your peril. I don't have a new book to support, but luckily we're coming up to the 20th anniversary of the release of Cirque Du Freak, so I'm going to be dusting off some old readings and giving them an air, focusing on my early vampire books, partying like it's the year 2000 and I've just taken to the road!

Tickets for my event (along with all the other events at the Book Festival) are now on sale, and you can buy them by clicking on the following link: https://www.edbookfest.co.uk/the-festival/whats-on/darren-shan-roll-up-roll-up

I'm also doing an event for school students on Thursday, August 22nd, at 11.45am. If you're a Scottish teacher or librarian who would like to bring students to see me give my talk (or any of the other amazing authors who are taking part over the two weeks of the Schools Programme) then click on the link below for more information and details of how you can apply. (If you're a student who would love to come along, get some friends interested and try pitching a proposal to your school teacher or librarian, and maybe you can convince them to apply on your behalf. Hey, you never know until you try!!!) https://learning.edbookfest.co.uk/schools/baillie-gifford-schools-programme/
