• US Review of Molls

    06 January 2020

There was a cool review for my latest Darren Dash novel for adults, Molls Like It Hot, over on the US Review of Books site recently. At one stage the reviewer notes:

"While its hero isn’t a Dashiell Hammett gumshoe or a Jim Thompson loser, he’s definitely cut in the mode of a smart guy who’s dumb enough to get in over his head and noble enough to stick it out when he really ought to cut and run."

Which pretty much sums up my main character far better than I've managed to do whenever I've been talking about him! :-) You can check out the full review by clicking on the following link:

The photo below, by the way, was my working cover for the book. I submitted it for review to lots of reviewers before the book was anywhere near ready for publication, and some of them required a cover in order to submit. So I worked up a rough cover, never actually intended for publication, using the famous film poster for the movie Some Like It Hot, then updated the image with the reviewers once I received the final cover from my designer. The final cover was a much cooler affair -- it's been generating a lot of admiration -- and if you haven't yet seen it, you can check it out over on the Darren Dash web site: www.darrendashbooks.com
