• USA Blog Tour - Day 8

    13 July 2020

On the final day of my blog tour, I swung by Mind of Luxe, for a dark flourish of a finale! There's a review of Archibald Lox, and also another exclusive DELETED SCENE (following up yesterday's), this one from Book 2 of the series. It's a disturbing dream scene, that would have been a key moment moving forward into Volumes 2 and 3 if I'd kept it in the books, but it didn't quite work in the context of Book 1, so I cut it. If you want to read the review and the Deleted Scene, click here: https://mindofluxe.wordpress.com/2020/07/12/book-series-review-archibald-lox-by-darren-shan-deleted-scene/

I've been using drawings by fans of characters from my books, wearing masks, to accompany my blog tour. I'm going to wrap up the gallery of drawings with an awesome group shot by a very talented artist with the Twitter handle MineAkatsuki. The artist has spread their net far and wide, drawing in works from most of my universes -- Cirque Du Freak, The Demonata, The Thin Executioner, The City trilogy, even Koyasan and Hagurosan. It's a beautiful, universe-spanning portrait that would feel very special at any time, but especially special in these troubled times, and will hopefully drive home the message that no matter where we live, and no matter how brave and tough we might be, we should all be doing everything we can to help slow and stem the spread of Covid-19. So be a true hero -- and mask up!!!
