• USA Blog Tour - Day 7

    12 July 2020

I normally publish family photos on a Sunday, but my blog tour train is thundering on down the track, closing in on the end of the line, so the Shan snaps will have to wait a week!

This morning I was over on The Reading Corner For All, where there was a DELETED SCENE from my new Archibald Lox series, plus a review of the first three books. As I've said in quite a few interviews, I wrote a lot more than I needed for the Archie books, and spent much longer than normal editing them down into their final shape. This deleted scene will give you a good idea of how that process went.

As well as coming towards the end of the blog tour line, we're almost at the end of my Week Of Masks, over the course of which I've been featuiring drawings by a variety of my fans of a variety of my characters wearing a variety of masks -- such variety!! :-) I'm going to be finishing up with a couple of group shots, starting with this one by Amity Lee, who took a scene in my Saga of Larten Crepsley series as her inspiration to draw Kurda Smahlt (looking rather feminine -- Amity Lee sometimes like to play with the genders of my characters, so perhaps the name should be tweaked to something like Kurdina Smahlt on this occasion...) enlisting the help of Mr Crepsley and Arra Sails to tend to Covid-19 victims.
