It's almost the end of the year, a time for looking back and reflecting, so I felt this would be the perfect day to share these photos that a fan called Haley sent to me a while ago. Here's what Haley said when she contacted me with them:

"When I was younger I would write notes to my future self and hide them in places. Sort of a gift from my past self to my future self. As I have been downsizing, I went through my book boxes today and found this. Thanks for the memories!"

The first photo is the cover of Haley's book.

The second photo shows what she found folded up inside.

The third photo is the opened out note, and I don't mind admitting it brought a happy tear to this jaded old half-vampire's eye.

I might be a wee early early with this, but what the hell, it seems appropriate, so I'm going with it -- Happy New Year everybody!!! :-)
