These young readers in Miss McLachlan's P7 6 class prove they have excellent taste in books by giving Cirque Du Freak a big thumbs up! Lucky for them -- I'm sure Miss McLachlan would have dropped them into a pit of stakes if they'd given it a thumbs down!!! :-)

Y'know, it's strange, but I'd kind of forgotten how young most of my fans are when they come to my books. Cirque Du Freak still remains my most popular book, and the entry point into my worlds for the vast majority of people who come across them. When I was touring back with the vampire books, I would do loads of primary school events, but with the Demonata, and especially Zom-B, the focus shifted more to secondary schools. I used to have a blast going in to the primaries -- young kids are usually so much more enthusiastic than older kids or adults. Hopefully my muse will poke me to write something nice and appropriate for them again one day -- if not, I guess I'll just have to start going back out on tour with Cirque Du Freak again!! :-) :-) :-)
