A hugely talented fan of my books, called ZERO, drew a series of sketches based on scenes in Cirque Du Freak, and I'm delighted to share the first four of them, all of which relate to the first half of the first book.

I love how neatly these sum up the feel and flow of the storyline -- from Steve looking for Darren in the toilet (how many of you had forgotten that was how the story began?!?), to Darren closing his eyes and blindly letting DesTiny decide his fate (this scene is also referenced in the final book of the series, when we come to realise that more was going on here than we at first realised), to the boys' first meeting with Mr Tall, to Mr Crepsley and Madam Octa performing on stage.

So few pen strokes, yet these few drawings capture so, so much, and opened up a huge vault of memories for me. Masterful stuff. Let it be known far and wide that Zero... is a Hero!!! :-)
