Hmmm…. What to say what to say... I like this book. Key word is like. It was a fun quick read. It's a great book for a young audience especially if they are into a little bit darker stuff. It's not like crazy dark though. It's interesting and keeps you captivated till the end wondering if there are really Zombies….. Who knows though right. The thing I loved about this story is the main character’s conflict within himself. He’sso trying to be what everybody wants him to be that he loses himself in the process. That I believe is what makes this a great book for a young reader. It shows that no matter how old you are you deal with moments that test you. Especially if there are Zombies out trying to eat your brains. If you have time and are looking for a quick read that’s good, I suggest you pick it up. This is a wonderfully written story from start to finish. Darren Shan has once again made a wonderful work. I’m excited to get book two and see what happens next.
