Zom-b was a very short, fast but yet very gruesome read. At under 200 pages, this book really packed in some a great little story, with an amazing amount of zombie terror. B, the main character, and his friends didn’t know whether to believe the videos being shown everywhere. A zombie attack in Ireland seemed a little far fetched for any of them to believe, until it was too late and everyone is fighting to survive. The attacks are gruesome and really vivid. At times you may have to put the book down, and come back later to finish it. That gruesome! There are shocking twists along the way that will leave you speechless and wanting book #2.

“You’ve been a good boy, Brian,” The man whispered. “Your parents would be proud of you.” Then his hands snaked out. Brian didn’t see the long, bony fingers, and only barely felt them as they gripped his head in either side and twists sharply, left then right. He heard a shard cracking noise but felt no pain and was dead before he knew it. ~Zom-B by Darren Shan
