Ridiculously Rich reads | 23 December 2011 | Karim Shehimi

The master of horror has pulled it off yet again! I read this book about four months ago and I loved it. Inspired by "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and with added dark, bloody details by Darren Shan, this read has become his most adventurous yet! It talks about Jebel Rum, son of the executioner of Wadi. After being humiliated, he takes upon a quest with a slave called Tel Hesani (Whom Jebel grows fond of later on in the book) to the far away lands in which he will search for a dark god. On the way they meet theives, cannibals, murderers, friends, and unspeakable evils as well. The characters develop as you progress through the book, which will make you even more anxious to find out what's going to happen next. Also, the environments which they visit are highly detailed and clearly imaginable in your head. The book is also SOAKED in blood, it has gory, gory bits (Especially the part with the cannibals!) that will make you feel noxious and sick. Fans of the Cirque du Freak and Demonata sagas are going to love and enjoy this book as well, due to it being as bloody and adventurous as Darren's entire demonic works!
