This one lost some of the unique feel of the series for me. It's still a fun, fast, read, and what's not to love about a zombie clown? But for me it just wasn't in the same league as the first two books.
I think it was the info-dumping when B found out what had been happening to the world while she'd been underground, that sort of killed things for me a bit here. Of course there's a hell of a lot that needs filling in, and how else do you do it...but the first two books were so original, and this one just read like a 'normal' zombie book in many places, and I've kind of come to expect more, so it was a little bit of a let down if I'm honest.
There are still some great touches of course, not least Mr Dowling and the reappearance of the Owl Man. Timothy was interesting too, and I'm kind of hoping we'll see more of him later on. There's a cracking cliffhanger at the end, and I expect things will pick up in the next one. Zom-B City just lost the spark a little for me here.
